Get your children acquainted with their active side this summer as Balesin Island Club opens its very first summer sports camp, perhaps this year’s biggest sports activity!
In partnership with San Miguel Corporation (SMC), the San Miguel Balesin Summer Sports Camp will run every week (Monday to Friday) from April 1 to June 28. An all-star roster of expert coaches and instructors will teach sports such as basketball, tennis, baseball, and soccer to kids aged eight to 18 years old.
Just how prestigious will this sports camp be? For basketball, your kids will be trained by Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) legends Vince Hizon, Alvin Patrimonio, Johnny Abarrientos, and Willie Miller. Even Jr. NBA Asia coach Louie Gonzales will man the basketball camp!

The tennis camp, on the other hand, will be led by national team coaches PJ Tierro, Niño Alcantara, Roland Kraut, Karl Santamaria, and Dennis Sta. Cruz. For the baseball camp, expect nothing less than National Mustang and Bronco coaches Eric Gesmundo, Jhoel Palanog, and Justin Zialcita, along with the 2018 University Athletic Association of the Philippines’ (UAAP) Most Valuable Player and star pitcher Kiko Gesmundo.

Meanwhile, soccer camp instructors will include former Davao Aguilas Football Club head coach Melchor Anzures, and former national team players Loy Fuentebella, Elmer Bedia, and LA Bedia.

Under International Professional Tennis Registry Coach Marty Ilagan, the camp director, these coaches will use modern and scientific approaches to athletics, and incorporate character-forming lessons in their programs to help kids become champions in sports and in life. “Balesin offers this perfect vacation for the family, and at the same time, keeps the kids active through sports.
