Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong presents the best of Davao’s dishes
Cantonese people will finally get to taste Filipino staples as Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong promotes authentic Philippine cuisine from October 11 to 13, 2018.
Marco Polo Hotel Davao executive chef Alex V. Destriza will be preparing home-style dishes showcasing the treasures of the Philippines at Gateway Hotel’s Three on Canton’s nightly dinner buffet.
Chef Alex, who has more than a decade of culinary experience in hotels, will showcase vibrant flavors in an array of authentic salads, savory mains, grills, and desserts.
His appetizers will include Tuna ceviche, Green mango and tomato salad, Eggplant and seaweed salad, and Pomelo and green papaya salad. The main dishes, on the other hand, will include Slow cooked beef ribs in coconut broth, Grilled chicken in coconut sauce, and Filipino BBQ pork and chicken liver skewers. Guests with sweet tooth, meanwhile, will get to enjoy Pinoy desserts like halo-halo, sweet coconut grating pancake, sweet rice cake, durian rice cake, guava membrillo, and sweet soup with dumplings (handcrafted by chef Alex himself).
This promotion is also part of a new direct flight between Hong Kong and Davao City, which will commence in late October.
