Danish designer company Georg Jensen is here in Manila, and Filipinos can finally get a glimpse of the sophisticated Danish aesthetics that have won the hearts of people in Europe and Asia.
Georg Jensen’s new store is located at Shangri-la Plaza’s East Wing, and shows a curated range of sophisticated jewelry and homeware. The brand is known for its founder’s vigor, translated into the artistic boldness and superior craftsmanship of its products and offerings. Its items include fine jewelry, watches, sterling silverware, men’s accessories, and homeware.
Georg Jensen has also evolved from its Art Nouveau past to the contemporary present, and is now ready to engage with customers who seek out the very best in style and quality. Shoppers should expect nothing less. After all, its founder, Georg Jensen, was a Danish Royal Warrant Holder, an official jeweller, and a silversmith to the Royal Court of Denmark.
The brand’s jewelry line ranges from daily wear luxuries like the Offspring collection, to elegant statement pieces that can be passed on as heirlooms like the Fusion collection. Its homeware is marked by classic designs from legends such as Henning Koppel and Arne Jacobsen, as well as pieces from progressive names and forward-thinkers like Ilse Crawford and Patricia Urquiola.
The launch, which was held last May 23, was attended by high profile guests such as Architect Ramon Antonio, designers Rhett Eala, Joey Samson, JC Buendia, Francis Libiran, and Nat Manilag, photographer Joan Bitagcol, stylist Luis Espiritu, and Manila’s top models.
Georg Jensen has more than 106 stores worldwide. The flagship store in the Philippines, under the distribution of furniture company Living Innovations Corporation, is located at the Mid level of the East Wing of Shangri-la Plaza, Mandaluyong City.
